A package of old-fashioned maple sugar cakes, also known as molded maple sugar or maple candy.  Sugar cakes are made of 100% pure maple syrup with no additives.  The syrup is boiled beyond the boiling point of syrup to concentrate the sugars and remove additional water.  It is then cooled and stirred while it is being poured into molds to create these mouth-watering maple candies.  Sugar cakes are packaged by the piece; each package contains approximately 2 oz in 6-9 pieces (depending on the molds used).
